- The Injective blockchain is powered by a global network of validators who ensure its secure and efficient operation. The Injective Foundation (IF) Delegation Program recognizes and rewards validators who go beyond basic operation by actively contributing to the ecosystem through technical development and community engagement

1. Delegation Program
- IF delegates to validators committed to supporting the community, supporting fellow validators, providing services, building tools, and continued Injective ecosystem contributions. We value the diverse talents and ideas applicants bring to the table and can't wait to see the positive impact we can make together!
- Validators receive INJ stake delegation from the IF if they meet specific technical and non-technical performance criteria as outlined below. Activities described in the Bonus Categories below constitute eligible contributions.
- Merely operating a validator node does not qualify as an eligible contribution.
- Validators are eligible for IF delegations after 1 week of reliable uptime.
- IF reviews validator performance every 2 months, continually rebalancing and strategically distributing foundation pool tokens to qualified recipients. At our core, we truly value fairness and efficiency for all validators in the set. Our team puts in a lot of effort to make the best possible use of delegations, ensuring they play a vital role in propelling the ecosystem forward while benefiting every single validator.
- Additional delegations are awarded for bonus contributions (see chart below).
- In the case of an undelegation, a validator may reapply for an IF delegation after the next 2 month evaluation period ends.
- The foundation strongly recommends validators to refund all stakers in case of any slashing penalties. The absence of slashing refunds might impact the delegation size from the foundation.
- To effectively safeguard and be good stewards of the Injective Ecosystem treasury, IF takes into consideration when evaluating future delegations:
- slash protection and insurance coverage. This may become a requirement in the future.
- restaking implementations like REStake and Yieldmos to escalate delegation reward earnings.
- We track geographically redundant physical infrastructure: Validators self-declare via https://bit.ly/ODFValTech if they operate nodes themselves or use a third party, run bare metal or use cloud services, deploy Horcrux, or run an HA setup. We evaluate technical configurations and value reducing points of failure and network concentration.
- If you run Injective IBC Relayers: We track and delegate based on:
- Number of channels each relayer supports
- Number of txs/gas paid in each channel for each relayer. Long-term delegation partnerships and exceptions to the requirements can be arranged on a individual basis.
